The internship hiring process at Iteris is done through a Hackathon that happens more than once a year. I applied for the selection process in January 2022, if I remember correctly. I took common selection tests through the Kenoby platform and received basic training in the stacks needed to participate in the hackathon. The hackathon is a full day dedicated to building a simple application with a theme given on the day. We were divided into teams and there was always someone from Iteris observing the teams. The selection is made on this day. I received a job offer from the company a few days later. The entire process had clear communication and they met the deadlines. It's a long process and worth it!

The internship selection starts with tests on Kenoby (English, logic, fit...). In my case, 200 people were selected from this phase, 50% women (a really cool initiative). Then comes the hackathon phase, where they provide study material and you have a week to learn and study (the hackathon exercise is very similar to the class material). On the hackathon day, we were divided into groups, and the selection focus is on soft skills (collaboration, interaction, communicating well, helping colleagues, etc.). Overall, it was a very positive experience that added a lot to me.

The process involved logical reasoning tests from Mind. There was also an intermediate English test, which wasn't listed in the job requirements. The tests are automated and timed. Due to the time constraint, 3 tests were a bit harder than usual because I had to answer quickly within a limited time.
