Marketing Intern
We kicked off with a group discussion (GD) round. Then there were two more interview rounds: one was technical and the other was HR-focused, mostly about real-world marketing ideas, case studies, and guestimates. The HR interview was pretty relaxed. You should really nail down marketing concepts like 4P, STP, and CCD with practical examples from life. And get ready for case study questions.
- Can you explain marketing concepts such as 4P, STP, and CCD in detail, providing practical life examples for each?
- How would you approach case studies and guestimates in a marketing context?
- Discuss your understanding of real-life marketing concepts.
Marketing Intern
This company recruited Marketing Interns from our college. The selection process involved a 10-day survey in and around the city, with data stored in an app. After the survey, the interview process began with two on-campus rounds, followed by two in-office rounds in Hyderabad, which is a 14-hour journey from my city. I was selected and traveled to Hyderabad for the further rounds. Two of my friends were also selected and received offer letters. I received a call from HR asking me to attend another interview the very next day. I explained the 14-hour travel time and asked for an online option or an extension, but she dismissed it as not her problem and threatened to cancel my candidature if I didn't attend. I immediately traveled to Hyderabad for the round. After the interview, HR told me to leave and that feedback would be given within a week. I waited for a month with no response, despite calling and emailing. She seemed unconcerned. While I understand they can't follow up with everyone, she contacted me 5-6 times during the process. I was polite and followed her instructions, and I expected at least a response to my communications. This was a terrible HR experience, especially for freshers/students. Her name is Prathibha Garlapati.
- What were the major questions based on the survey you were asked to do, which involved collecting details about their Product's sale?
- Can you explain the reasons for low sales in the allotted area?
- Tell me about the distribution of Products in all the allotted areas.
Marketing Intern
I had a telephonic interview with the Assistant Sales Manager of the company. They called me once, and then another round was conducted by an Account Executive. They started by asking two questions, and then moved on to marketing-specific questions.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What makes you the ideal candidate for this role?
- Could you elaborate on pull and push marketing strategies?
