Campus recruitment started on July 18, 2013, with a written test. This test had 50 questions, all technical, covering topics like control systems, machines, measurements, and network theory. Those who passed this round were invited to the ITC Tobacco production facility on the outskirts of Bangalore for the next stage. The interview process there had two parts: a technical interview with a panel (including a technical expert and an HR representative) and a separate HR interview. The technical questions mainly focused on DC/AC machines and circuit breakers and were quite straightforward. The HR interview also went well.
- The interviewer will just test your basic understanding of the subject knowledge and your way of presenting the answers.
- Be straightforward and tell him if you don't know the answer to a particular question.
Engineer
Candidates are first shortlisted based on their CGPA, with a strong CGPA being a significant factor. We also value strong extra-academic and co-curricular achievements to understand teamwork and leadership potential. Following this, candidates are further selected based on their performance in a group discussion. The final stage involves two interview rounds: a panel HR interview and a one-on-one meeting with a company head to assess organizational fit.
- In what ways can biotechnology engineering benefit our company?
