& Process

I applied on LinkedIn and got a call from a recruiter who set up a phone interview. We talked about my background, and it was pretty casual and professional. She then told me about the next steps. After that, I had a Skype call with the Area Regional Manager, which was also very conversational and not a formal interview. She then scheduled a role play with the CEO, who was really nice and gave me some good feedback, saying they'd be in touch. About two hours later, I got an email asking for my professional references.

Applied through indeed and went through 5 interviews. First was a phone screening. Second was an in person interview where I had to document my salary history and answer personal questions, then interviewed with the manager. Third was with the training manager. Fourth was a working interview that lasted about an hour and a half, which was annoying because I wasn't expecting to take notes and quizzes for a position I was still trying out for. I then had to do a mock phone call interview, which the manager forgot about, after I reserved that morning and practiced for. The manager then asked for references, whom they never called. The entire process took about 6 weeks. They didn't follow up with me. I ended up getting another job, and I'm so glad I didn't hear from them. What a waste of time.

It was a 3-phase phone interview process. They asked about me, why I'd be good for the role, and why I'd want to work for them. There was also a mock client/dating specialist interview. The first two phases were typical interview questions, and the second phase also prepped me for the mock session. All three interviewers had great personalities, made the process exciting, were super informative, and guided me through it. I knew from the first interview that I wanted this job and would love it.

The interview started out okay, but then I talked to the final manager. She told me to whisper because clients were being interviewed next door. Then she interrupted me mid-sentence and said I seemed timid and they needed someone with a cheerleader personality. I couldn't believe it, especially after she told me to whisper. They said they were really interested but I needed to keep calling them until I could get a manager on the phone for an answer. Honestly, it wasn't very professional. I called once, left a message, and never heard back.
