First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ISS Facility Services.
Aviation Protection Officer
The interview process was fine. There was an information session that was very interesting, and then the interview itself wasn't time-consuming at all, with relatively simple questions asked. The interviewers were all very kind and welcoming to the large cohort of people being interviewed.
- What is your understanding of this role?
Executive
The interview was 45 minutes and took place at the customer's facility. The interviewer was friendly and was the person who would decide whether to hire me. I got good insight into the role and the environment. The questions were definitely answerable. The environment was cozy.
- Why did you leave your last job?
Finance Manager
The hiring process kicked off with an external recruitment agency that laid out the core aspects of the role, the compensation package, and the ideal candidate profile. Following that, I had an interview with the Head of Controlling and the CFO. This was a free-flowing conversation where we delved into my professional history, my qualifications, and what I'm looking for in a position. The responsibilities of the job were clearly explained, including the specific challenges, the team structure, and the short-term and long-term goals. I found the process to be very upfront, and I'm pleased to say it accurately reflected the reality of the position.
- Can you tell me about your background?
- What languages do you speak?
- Could you elaborate on your past experiences?
Fullstack Developer
The whole process was a mess. The recruiter ghosted me, and nothing was clear. I sent follow-up emails that were totally ignored. But hey, the live coding interview was kinda fun, and the tech lead was cool and knew his stuff. That was the only part that felt like it mattered. He said the recruiter would let me know what's next. Never heard back. I emailed them like a bunch of times over a month and got nothing. Then, out of nowhere, a generic rejection email. No real feedback, no reason why. It felt unprofessional and rude. The recruiter was MIA, and the company didn't bother to keep me in the loop or respect my time.
