The hiring process was a bit drawn out, but there were only a couple of interview rounds which was nice. The HR and finance folks seemed to know their stuff and were helpful. Sadly, I didn't end up getting the role.

So, first there was this phone screen with HR, lasted about 7-10 minutes. They asked about my background and told me about the rest of the process. Then the second round was a technical one with the team, covering SQL, Snowflake, and my general approach to data analysis.

The interview process was pretty standard. First, there was a quick phone screening where they asked basic questions about my experience and availability. Then, two days later, I was contacted for a second interview, which was in person. I met with three people. The first person explained the position and asked some basic get-to-know-you questions. Then, I met with two interviewers who asked me to explain every past position in extreme detail. They also asked about six situational questions, requiring extreme detail to the point of possibly oversharing. Some questions were easy, but a few situational ones were hard to answer. One question was poorly worded, making it difficult to answer specifically without being too general about everyday work routines.

The interview process moved quickly, and I was asked to complete the final round on an accelerated timeline ahead of a company event. I appreciated the team’s time and was informed afterward that they remained very interested and would follow up post-event. Unfortunately, I did not receive any further updates despite multiple follow-ups. While I understand internal priorities can shift, a lack of communication at the final stage, particularly after requesting flexibility from candidates reflects poorly on the overall hiring process. Improved follow-through and timely communication would greatly enhance the candidate experience.
