I had an in-person interview that seemed to go really well. I figured I was overqualified with my years of customer service and sales experience and my real estate license. They seemed really excited about my professionalism, but it turned out they really prioritize a college degree over actual experience, which I think is a shame because I'm very educated regardless. It was their loss, and I think they'll hurt their company long-term if they keep hiring based on paper qualifications and waste their own time.

I got an email about a phone interview. They asked me about my past sales jobs, like a time I really went out of my way for a customer, why I'm interested in Irvine Co., and why I want this Sales Specialist role.

I was in my last semester of college, living out of state, and had two phone interviews with the HR Team. They asked good questions and then presented workplace scenarios. I flew back to California for the final interview and was offered the job on the spot.
