Started with HR, then met with the hiring manager. After that, I had a full day of panel interviews with the engineering team. Each panel had one or two people and lasted about 30 minutes, and there were several of these panels.

Went through the whole process with these guys, all positive feedback and good vibes through the final round. Then didn’t hear back for a few days and when I reached out, they let me know I was no longer being considered. Recruiter mentioned they will consider me for other positions, then when I asked for more details about those positions, they said “actually no there aren’t any”. Thanks lol. Make sure you have at least one other company you’re talking to in order to avoid disappointment.

Behavioral Coding

About a month after applying, I got an email asking me to schedule a call interview. I had it two days later, and it was pretty standard. I hit it off with the interviewer and we talked about stuff other than software engineering or the internship. He asked me to talk about a past project I worked on, which I had prepared for. Then he asked me to get my computer out for a live coding question, which was unexpected. I took a while to figure it out but I talked through my thought process and the interviewer seemed to like it. I didn't finish the code, which worried me, but I got an offer.

  • Can you tell me about a project you've worked on before?
  • Let's do a technical question involving dynamic programming.
