So first thing, I had to fill out this questionnaire, you know, with questions about my experience. After that, they set up a Skype interview, but it ended up being a phone interview instead, which was a bit of a mix-up with HR, apparently. That was pretty much it, the last stage.

The interview day was really long; it included a tour and I met with a bunch of people. The hiring "talent" guy was awesome and basically sold me on the role, saying everyone really liked me. But, I didn't hear back from him until almost three weeks later, emailing me at 2am on a Saturday to say they chose someone else. This whole talent acquisition thing needs to stop, it's just people who job hop and don't care about candidates or stringing them along. The talent team makes the process really painful.

I had a phone interview with 2 people who seemed to be interns or wranglers. They asked me about my mechanical skills, my education, and my personality. It wasn't too intense, but they did ask a couple of technical questions to see how I think. It's more about your thought process than getting the exact right answer. A common question they ask is about what you do outside of classes that shows you're into mechanical engineering.
