Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IRIS Software Group.
Payroll Analyst
The process involves multiple rounds. It starts with an online assessment, then a series of interviews, including one online interview (either via AI or Teams), and then another online chat. The final stage is an in-person assessment day, which includes group activities with other candidates to assess personality and fit, as well as individual, one-on-one interviews.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to work under pressure and explain how you managed it?
Payroll Specialist
I had a phone interview which took a long time to schedule after I applied. Then, I had an all-day in-person activity scheduled even further out, which included a quiz and an in-person interview by a panel. It was a very slow process, and they seemed to be interviewing a lot of people.

I really enjoyed it, it was a very different experience compared to how interviews are normally conducted in any other company. Upon arrival, there were about 10 other candidates and we began with a presentation on the company, followed by an ice breaker and a team-based activity. There were many opportunities to connect and build a relationship with the other candidates as well as the people who we would potentially be working with, and this helped us relieve our nerves before the actual "interview" part which only lasted about 30 minutes per candidate. The whole process took a little over 4 hours and they provided us with lunch as well!
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
