Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IRI.
Senior Manager
The process was professional and responsive, making me feel at ease. It moved reasonably quickly from the initial contact to the offer. I interviewed with at least three different directors and peers. They showed a genuine commitment to diversity, inclusion, career development, and cultural fit.
- How resilient are you?
- Can you share an example of your integrity?
- Describe your experience working in a team.
Insights Manager
The first interview involved a presentation of a case study, including data, conclusions, and recommended actions for the business, to the head of projects and other relevant stakeholders. The second interview was with your direct line manager.
- What are three positive personal qualities you possess and three areas for improvement?
- Can you share some of your project successes?
- What have you learned from your past projects?
Client Solutions Manager
Had 3 phone interviews first, with 3 different people. Then got to the 4th and final interview with someone in sales from NY who had a Brand Management background. It was the usual sales vs marketing debate, she wanted 100% sales focus and I'm more into strategic selling. They gave me a case study about a fake company called POPCO where the government said an ingredient they use is a cancer causer. I had to do a presentation and then sell the product to the interviewer. I felt their approach was all wrong.
- Given the government's announcement about a cancer-causing ingredient, how would you increase data sales?
- Please prepare and deliver a PowerPoint presentation.
