Case Manager
It was detailed and they really made an effort to ensure potential hires understood the role. I think a ride-along was part of it too, where you go with someone in the field and can ask questions to really see if it's a fit.
- Tell me about your strengths and weaknesses.
- What would be your approach to this case management scenario?
- Describe how you would handle this specific case management situation.
Case Manager
It was a short phone interview that led to an in-person interview at their office. The interviewer seemed a bit on edge and kept looking around the room. We didn't get to talk about salary until the last 20 minutes, and it's not much – case workers top out around 31k a year. Plus, they expect you to drive 300-500 miles a week and only give 33 cents per mile for gas.
- Are you okay with extensive driving for work?
- How do you feel about working in environments that are not sanitary?
Case Manager
I had an initial call to talk about my interest in the company. Then, a phone interview where they asked more about my experience and what I'm looking for. Lastly, a skype interview where we discussed different scenarios and I learned more about the job.
- How would you handle working with difficult colleagues?
