Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IQVIA.
Intern
The interview process involved two main parts: a case study and a personal fit interview, conducted by a senior member of the team. The case study focused on market sizing within the pharmaceutical sector, requiring the candidate to lead the analysis, for example, estimating the market for a specific drug like one for hayfever.
- Can you perform a market sizing exercise for the pharmaceutical industry?
- How would you approach sizing the market for a pharmaceutical drug, such as one for hayfever, using a standard methodology where you lead the discussion?
Intern
So basically I got this email asking me to answer some interview questions, like 8 of them, on this online platform. I had like 30 seconds to think and then about a minute to record my answer, video and audio. I sent two emails to the recruiter during this, but they never replied. This was in October and it's January now, still no response or even an email saying thanks but no thanks.
- Could you tell us about yourself and explain your interest in working with us?
Intern
The interview process consisted of two rounds. The first was a one-hour offline paper test focusing on quantitative skills, with no calculators or electronic devices permitted. The second round was a 45-minute in-person interview that included both a fit interview and a case interview. The case interview specifically involved a market sizing problem. I am still awaiting the results.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- What would you say are your three best qualities?
- Tell me about your experience with market sizing.
