The interview process was long. The interviewers seemed to try to make me feel inferior and put me down while acting like arrogant world-beaters. It felt like a sink or swim environment where success is solely dependent on hitting quotas, which can be high-pressured and burdensome. Failing to hit numbers means you're nothing to them. They call it 'performance-based,' but it feels like you're just being used to achieve numbers. There was very little human connection or camaraderie beyond that; even in sales, numbers shouldn't be all that matters. I don't think this job is for everyone. If you want freedom, flexibility, and bosses without big egos, look elsewhere. If my potential bosses mistreat and talk down to me during an interview, I wouldn't want to work for them long-term.

An internal recruiter reached out to me, and we had a 30-minute phone chat. After that, I went in for a 40-minute one-on-one with a sales manager. I ended up deciding it wasn't the right fit for me, but the manager was really open about the sales process, explaining the day-to-day tasks and potential earnings, which helped me make up my mind. It left me with a good overall impression of the company.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

Okay so I had 3 in-person interviews and 1 phone call. They actually called me. When you get there, you have to fill out a long form so make sure you get there 10-15 mins early. After the first in-person interview, I had to do some homework. It involved reading like 100 pages of a sales book and figuring out how to use it in my work. The homework also had questions about a conference to show I understood what the company does. And the last part of the homework was to come up with questions for them. There were a lot of people waiting when I was there, but they were seeing different people, so I couldn't tell if they were going for the same job. They do tend to run about 10 mins late.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Be ready to defend yourself and your skills against any concerns they bring up after each interview.
  • Be prepared to fight for yourself and address their concerns.
