There were 2 rounds of interviews for this role, one was online and another one was in person. I had a really good experience in both interviews. The first interview was more of a get-to-know-you type of conversation, and the second interview involved slightly harder questions like asking how I would solve certain problems.

The initial online part was pretty smooth. I liked that I got a take-home task to show what I can do. The hiring manager was really clear about what might happen next. A bummer though, they interviewed me a second time even though I told them I don't have much B2B experience. After I did a presentation for the second interview, I just got a standard rejection email saying I wasn't the right fit for what they need right now. It's a bit disappointing to put in so much time and effort and then find out it wasn't a good match. They didn't give much feedback either. My interview experience with IQPC Singapore was a mixed bag. Even though I mentioned my limited B2B background early on, they still moved me to a second interview after a take-home assignment. While I appreciated showing my skills, it was a letdown to get a generic rejection email right after my presentation. It's obvious my background wasn't what they were looking for at the moment. On the bright side, the hiring manager was transparent and said they'd keep my resume for future roles. This whole thing is a learning moment for me. I'll be more careful about applying to jobs that need big assignments from now on. Hopefully, IQPC can do a better job matching candidates to roles in the future. It wasn't all great, but I'm thankful for the chance and wish them luck finding the right people.

This was a very short phone interview because it quickly became apparent that it wasn't a good fit. The interviewer was a bit offensive when I didn't know all the details about the company's operations or the specifics of this role. The initial stage is usually for both sides to get acquainted, gauge interest, and see if there's a potential match. However, this felt more like an interrogation and I felt belittled within the first five minutes. I could tell right away it would likely be a challenging work environment. Also, the offered salary was considerably lower than typical for a senior management role in NYC.
