First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at iQmetrix.
Staff Software Engineer
Had a culture fit interview first with a panel of people and culture staff. Then had a separate technical interview session with a panel made up of technical leads and staff developers, which covered system design questions, algorithm questions, and situational questions about teamwork, development, and technical problem solving.
- Regarding an architectural diagram of a service, what are its gaps and how could it be improved or addressed?
Cloud Operations Engineer
The interview process was quite drawn out. It started with a 20-30 minute call with the HR coordinator. Then there was a cultural interview that got postponed twice, focusing on behavioral questions. Following that, a 1-hour technical interview via Zoom with the team lead and members. After that, a 2-hour technical test that extended over two days. Finally, reference checks were done, and an offer was extended. However, the offer terms were very rigid, and they rescinded it when I requested a change in benefits, not related to salary. It seems they don't prioritize employee needs. It's surprising they invested so much time (20-30 hours over 5 weeks) and then ended things quickly over a minor request. It makes you question the purpose of initial interviews if they aren't flexible with candidate needs later on. Some companies' actions don't align with their stated values.

- What are your core values?

Applied online and got a quick email response the next day. HR scheduled a brief 15-minute call to learn about my background and interest in iQmetrix. HR was professional and communicative, providing quick feedback after the call. The second round involved two team members. It was a casual chat, with one interviewer professional and friendly, and the other seeming disengaged and unaware of the role's specifics. The focus was on cultural fit, not technical skills. No feedback was given after this round, and I only found out they weren't moving forward a week later after I inquired.
- What are some situations you have encountered?
- Tell me about your background.
- Why do you want to work for iQmetrix?
Senior Software Engineer
Had a 30 min intro phone call with an hr person who talked about the hiring process and did a general fit check. Then a 60 min cultural interview with a manager and a trainer where they asked about my values. After that, a 2h technical interview with a team lead and a dev manager, looking at a system diagram and problem-solving. Then there was a live coding demo using C# in visual studio. They gave me a list of unit tests and asked me to write code to pass them, they were watching my approach. I finished early and they asked if I had questions. I'm waiting on an offer now.
