Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ipsos.

The interview was friendly and I progressed on to the next stage which involved a case study presentation. I still have not heard back from the customer experience team, which is unprofessional, as after 6 weeks I wrote to them and still waiting a total of two months.
- Can you present a case study of good and bad customer experience?

The whole process had two steps. First, an HR person screens candidates and passes along those who seem like a good fit to the department VP. The initial interview is super general, basically checking if you're a decent, dependable, and smart person to have around. It's all about making a good impression on the HR person, who is looking for typical things like professionalism and attitude. The second interview is where things get specific to the actual job. Here, the VP is checking if they get a good feeling from you, if you click, and if you'd fit well with the existing team.
- The HR interview consists of all typical questions, nothing out of the ordinary.
- The VP interview questions are entirely up to the hiring VP's discretion.
- Focus more on presenting yourself well and accurately rather than specific questions.

I was contacted by an internal recruiter shortly after applying. We had a phone conversation that served as a screening interview. After a few weeks of no contact, the recruiter called to set up an interview with the team. This was very informal and seemed to go well; I met four people who were all very friendly and put me at ease. Then, there was almost a month of silence before the recruiter reached out again to schedule an interview with a VP. This was also quite informal. I was told a decision would be made within a week, but then there was radio silence again. After another month, I asked the recruiter about the status, and was told they really liked me but hadn't decided yet and were still interviewing other candidates, this was four months after my initial contact.
- Can you tell us about your background and how it aligns with the requirements of this role?
