Had a brief chat with the recruiter about my background, then went through 2 virtual interviews with team members. The job ended up being described as 'Online Community Manager' which is a more senior position than the initial 'Market Research Analyst' title. Since they were seeking a more senior candidate and I'm not planning to stay in the client's industry long-term, I didn't receive an offer. The recruiter informed me about this about 10 days after the interviews.

Behavioral Case Presentation

A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn about two openings on the Creative Excellence team. We had a brief ~20 minute chat, and she thought I'd be a great fit for both roles. She then set up my in-person interview. I wanted to come in the afternoon at the end of the day, but they insisted I come in from 12pm - 3pm, right in the middle of the workday. So, I went in and met with about 8 people over 3 hours. Everyone on the team seemed really nice and I had great conversations with all of them. After the onsite, I was asked to do a case study which involved writing a paper analyzing an ad and creating a PPT report based on data they provided. This case study probably took me 5-7 hours to complete over a weekend, as they only gave me 3 days for it, which was a lot of time. I felt I did a good job on it. After submitting it, I've heard absolutely nothing for over a month. Given how much time they asked me to take out of my workday and the hours I spent on the case study, I was shocked by the unprofessional and rude behavior of not even getting a response. I'm assuming I didn't get the job, but I would never want to work for a company that lacks the decency to inform a candidate they weren't selected after an in-person interview and a substantial case study. Any excitement for this job is gone.
