Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ipsos.
Consultant
The interview process was pretty straightforward and not overly technical. It mainly covered regression, fundamental statistics, and the basics of coding languages such as Python and SQL. It would be beneficial to brush up on multiple linear regression and Excel skills beforehand.
- Could you explain regression and its different types?
- Tell me about multiple linear regression.
- What are the basics of statistics?
Senior Consultant
The process was pretty clear and direct. It involved a few talks with the hiring manager, team directors, and then some follow-ups. The interviewers were nice and fair, giving you a good chance to show what you can do.
- Could you share an example of a project you were especially proud of completing?
Principal Consultant
Applied online. Initially, it was supposed to be a two-stage process with an online panel interview and an in-person presentation over three weeks. There were typical questions and a presentation expected for this kind of position. However, a third stage, a 'meet the team' session, was added about two weeks after the originally planned final interview. It took them five weeks to give a final decision after this third round, and the surprise additional round made the whole experience very long and frustrating. The poor planning and execution really reflect badly on their consulting division.
- What would define success in this position for you?
