Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ipsos.
Account Manager
The interview included an initial HR phone screen and then an interview with the hiring manager. It was mostly about culture fit, my long-term career goals, and discussing past methodologies. I also got to speak with a few different teams.
- In what areas are you seeking professional development?
- Can you describe your long-term career goals?
- Which methodologies have you employed in your previous roles?
Account Manager
HR contacted me for an interview after I applied. They rescheduled the interview an hour before it was supposed to start without any notice, which was unprofessional. After the interview, my application was declined, and I got no response when I asked for feedback.
- Can you tell me about any market research projects you've worked on previously?
- Do you have experience with analysis tools such as SPSS?
Account Manager
I thought Ipsos did a great job of the hiring process, especially during COVID. I received frequent updates and the process was made very clear. It started with a recruiter reaching out on LinkedIn and then setting up an initial phone call. Second round was two video interviews. Final round was another two video interviews but one was more of a work culture fit kind of interview with other account managers on the team, which I found extremely useful in my decision making. The process took one month from initial contact. The questions were behavioral based. Getting an understanding of data analyzing experience, time management and client management skills. Also asking about what I’d like from the position and where I see myself in a few years.
- What are your long-term career goals for the next five years?
- Can you recall a time when you had to juggle multiple deadlines?
- Tell us about an instance where you shared a valuable insight with someone.
