First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at INVISTA.
Process Engineer
The interview was a video call with one person. They asked standard questions like why I wanted the job and about my previous work. They were really looking for someone with more process automation and sensor experience because they were upgrading their machines. It was a nice and straightforward interview process.
- Could you tell me about your knowledge of the nylon manufacturing process?
Process Engineer
Started off with a general phone interview where they asked about personal experiences, favorite classes, and what I liked about the company. Then I got a trip to the location for the next stage. I interviewed with 6 people separately, including several engineers and then sector managers. They asked more personal experience questions. It's good if you know about MBM (Market Based Management) principles. Make sure to have some questions ready to ask the interviewers too.
- Could you share an instance where you utilized milestones to advance a project?
- Can you describe a situation where you used milestones to help progress a project?
Process Engineer
The interview lasted about an hour and involved two interviewers. They asked behavioral questions and asked me to describe in detail how the manufacturing process works. At the end, I was given a chance to ask them some questions. Overall, it was a good process.
- Can you share an example of a time you took initiative to do something without being directed?
- Explain the details of how your manufacturing process functions.
