Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at InVision.
Strategist
Had a video call with the Business Development Director about the role. He was late and unprofessional, giving a basic company overview and not clarifying role responsibilities. Seemed uninterested in the conversation. The rest of the team appeared to be mediocre former investment bankers. No follow-up.

Strategist
They're using candidates to crowdsource ideas for their platform and then not hire them, do not waste your time. They will have you do real work and then steal it, saying that they picked someone else. The process involved a phone screen and then a take-home project. I spent about 10 hours on it, only to receive a short email saying they'd moved on with other candidates. And now two weeks later, the job is posted yet again on LinkedIn and other websites. Classic startup ploy to get free work. If you really feel compelled to go through this process, have them sign an NDA or pay you upfront for your ideas.

Strategist
I applied online and it took the recruiter about two weeks to contact me, which felt about average. However, after reaching out, they didn't schedule the initial interview for another week. My schedule had changed by then, so I asked them to reschedule. The recruiter was unresponsive until the last minute, only moving the interview about 45 minutes before it was supposed to start. During that first call, she mentioned I'd be speaking with the hiring manager. It then took her over a week to set up that next interview. When I finally spoke with the hiring manager, he was clearly outside with traffic noise and wind, making it hard to hear him. The interview was pretty standard, aiming to give me a better understanding of the role. Since this is a new role, it seemed like they weren't entirely sure what they were looking for. After sending a thank you email, the hiring manager replied that the recruiter would be in touch in a few days. She didn't reach out for another two weeks. I didn't get the job, and honestly, after that whole process, I wasn't sure I even wanted it anymore. So unprofessional and disorganized!
