I applied and then HR contacted me about 3-4 weeks later, but they were super unprofessional, not even putting my name in the email and never responding to my emails, just sending Google invites with no info. They also scheduled interviews outside of my availability. The first interview was a 30-min HR phone call where they seemed uninterested, but I got them more engaged by asking questions. A second interview with hiring managers was scheduled for the next day, a 1-hour video call with 2 senior engineers. One manager grilled me on project details, admitting they liked to fluster candidates. They wouldn't answer my questions, just went in circles or turned questions back on me. When I asked about training, one manager said they didn't think there was one. They said the next steps would be another interview, but I never heard back, and the job was reposted.

I sent my resume and the HR person reached out a few days later to schedule the interview. The environment felt cold and sterile, and the people were dry and mechanical, though the HR person was nice. Three people interviewed me. I know I don't do great in interviews, but my portfolio, background, and accomplishments should speak for themselves, and references can vouch for me. Engineers at this firm seem to be narrow-minded, focusing only on very specific needs rather than looking at a person's overall experience and achievements and how they could fit long-term. If you can't answer a specific question, they quickly judge and form poor opinions. The interview was under 30 minutes, and I was eager to leave. It seems like a blessing in disguise that I wouldn't want to work there. The company was bought by Australians, who seem to have a blunt, dry, and holier-than-thou attitude similar to the British when it comes to hiring, work style, and mentality. It was a great location, but a lousy experience.

The interview was just a single phone call. It felt more like a casual chat. They asked me to tell them about myself and what I'm currently doing. Then, they inquired about my key personality traits and asked one question about my behavior in a certain situation.
