Senior Consultant
The process was quick and thorough. It was straightforward and took time, with many questions about fitting the profile. They were trying to gauge the 'why' behind my career choices.
- Can you go into detail about your resume and profile?
- Can you explain why you are interested in this specific role?
- Could you provide a deep dive into your resume?
Associate
The whole thing took about 2 months. It started with HR, then 2 interviews with junior and senior folks. The last interview was with a VP and was a mix of 2 behavioral questions and 2 case studies. The case studies weren't too difficult, though the VP seemed to be Googling for data from questionable sources, which felt unprofessional. Communication from HR was also pretty bad. There were 2-week delays between each round, and after the final interview, I had to chase them for a response after a week, which also felt unprofessional.
- What is the market size of skydiving in the USA?
- How many apples are sold?
- What is the market size of signage?
Infrastructure Support Specialist
I had 3 interviews in total. The first was with an HR recruiter where they asked non-technical questions and gave a general overview of my skills. Then there were two technical interviews, one with technical questions and another, more in-depth technical interview with the hiring manager. I didn't accept the job or the offer because I didn't like them.
- Can you describe your process for troubleshooting Windows and Linux systems?
- Given only telnet and ping, how would you approach troubleshooting application and network issues?
Associate Consultant
The interview experience started off pretty well organized. The early interviewers seemed engaged and the job looked interesting. I got good feedback and moved through the stages pretty fast. I had four interviews in total, including a panel interview. During the panel, one person seemed really checked out and distracted, which made it feel inconsistent. After getting past that to what would have been the final step (a case study presentation), they just went silent. I emailed them but got no reply or any kind of official ending.
- What makes you want to join IGS and could you tell me about a project you've completed?
- Could you share an example of a project you have worked on and why you're interested in IGS?
