Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Intuitive.
Engineering Technician
Had a phone screening with the recruiter and the questions were pretty easy if you have experience. The recruiter was nice but they tend to look for flaws in your answers. They don't seem to care about your personal life or understand situations that might be relevant to this job.
- Do you have experience with medical surgery tools?
Technician
You go through 2 steps. First, a quick phone interview with the agency. Then, you have to do English & math (10m), lego (15m), and wiring tests (3m - this was crazy fast). This is all on the agency's side. If you pass step 1, they set up an in-person interview with the company's manager or supervisor. The interview questions were basic. After that interview, you wait for a company trainer to give you another test where you assemble a company product (20m). All tests are timed, so finish on time, especially the English and math ones. If you fail a test the first time, there's no second chance. Brush up on your communication vocabulary and math skills (division, multiplication, subtraction).
- Can you describe your previous or current job responsibilities and your typical day?
- How are things going in your current role, and what is your day-to-day like?
- What are your reasons for leaving your current employment?
Senior Engineering Technician
My experience with Intuitive was really good. It felt more like a chat about my background and how I'd handle different situations rather than a typical interview. I got a real feel for the daily team interactions and the type of people I'd be working with. Engineering is all about open talks and always getting better, and that's what the interview felt like.
- Can you describe what you're observing and what you believe its purpose to be?
