The interview was really on point for the job. They asked a bunch of questions to see how I think and how I'd go about doing failure analysis. If you know how to do failure investigations well, you should do fine.

This was a really long and unprofessional interview process, super disrespectful too. It took forever, like 4 months, and was exhausting going through so many interviews. It started with HR talking about the job, then a manager interview with resume review and some technical questions. After that, I had a take-home test. Then, two senior engineers interviewed me with more technical questions. Another manager interviewed me, this time with a different engineering background. Then came a virtual onsite with a presentation to a panel, which involved 7 interviews over 2 days. I waited 3 weeks for feedback because the hiring manager was on vacation, and I didn't get any updates despite asking. After the virtual onsite went well, they asked for 3 references. They contacted all three, but the hiring manager only spoke to one. My other references said they were contacted to schedule, but then nobody followed up, which was really rude. I had to keep chasing the HR contact for updates but got nothing. A heads-up about the vacation would've been good. After waiting 3 weeks, I had to go for another in-person onsite interview, which included a lunch with the team and lasted most of the day with 4 people. It was weird though, because all these people had unrelated engineering degrees. In the end, I got a generic rejection email, no personalized response or feedback after all that. If they treat candidates this way, I can only imagine how they treat employees.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process included an initial HR/behavioral phone screen with a recruiter, followed by two technical phone interviews with hiring managers. Then, there was an on-site with seven separate interviews. The on-site started very technical, then moved to two interviews focusing on past experiences, which were a bit technical. After a lunch interview with the project lead, there was another very technical interview, and finally two more interviews about past experience and side projects. It was a great experience overall. Everyone was responsive and seemed genuinely interested in their work and the company's mission. After the first technical phone interview, there was about a week before they decided to bring me on-site, but they called to let me know they were still considering it, which was thoughtful. They were also able to schedule my on-site with short notice when I was under pressure from another offer; the on-site was on Jan 2, and everyone showed up, which was impressive.
