The interview process started with a first round that was purely behavioral questions. After that, the next round was a superday, which also consisted of purely behavioral questions. The only technical questions asked were related to the market and where we see it going. The superday itself was only one round with an MD.

Behavioral Technical

An analyst reached out via email a few weeks after an employee referral. This analyst was one of the lead interviewers. The initial phone screen was meant to include an analyst and a VP, but the VP was unavailable, so I spoke with another analyst instead. One analyst asked straightforward questions, while the other seemed confrontational, questioning my past experience and credentials. This second analyst's interviewing approach was unprofessional and disruptive, hindering the planned flow. I tried to stay focused on the first analyst's questions, but the second analyst repeatedly interrupted, possibly indicating the company culture. Neither analyst shared any background information about themselves or the bank. Due to the unprofessionalism, I decided not to proceed with the interview process.
