Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Intesa Sanpaolo.
Project Manager
The interview was very formal but unclear about what the role actually required. Some questions were generic, while others were too technical and self-referential. Otherwise, it was a standard interview.
- How would you present data to your manager using a chart without a legend?
Project Manager
The interview was challenging with qualified staff. After positive feedback, they asked for payslips and tried to lowball offers, proposing your current salary or less. During the offer stage, the HR person didn't know where I worked, even though it was on the payslips they requested. They showed little attention to people and it was a waste of time because they didn't respect my salary expectations.
- How do you handle projects with tight timescales?
Project Manager
It was a 3-step, intense and technical process. There was an in-depth discussion about the soft skills and communication abilities a PM needs. They also gave a detailed description of the current work team and reporting structure. We simulated various conflict scenarios with the team, with superiors, and how to resolve them.
- What are the fundamental principles of project management?
