Junior Legal Advisor
It was a good interview experience. I spoke with a very experienced person from whom I could learn a lot. However, I declined the offer because I received a better one elsewhere.
- What are the standard questions for a junior position?
Software Engineer
I applied at a university career fair, so the interview was at the campus career center. The interviewer seemed completely uninterested. They briefly asked about some projects on my resume before moving on to a coding question on the whiteboard. I don't think I did too badly, but it also seemed like the company had already found who they wanted to hire and just conducted my interview as a formality. Honestly quite annoyed because they told me I would hear from them over the weekend, but never did. Eagerly waited for a couple of weeks and sent emails to ask about the results, but I was completely ignored.
- Can you find two movies that fit within a given flight duration from a list of movie lengths?
Data Engineer
The interview process included a remote technical screen where the interviewer seemed uninterested from the start. They threw a topological sorting problem with reverse polish notation and asked for an O(n) solution (similar to LeetCode 210 hard + LeetCode 150 medium). After I communicated my potential solution, the interviewer remained uninterested and didn't respond. Later, during the coding implementation phase, they interrupted, said they knew what I was doing, and asked me to delete my solution. The one-hour interview ended in 30 minutes, which felt very unprofessional.
- Given the expression string: "a1: 3 4 * a2: 3 4 9 - + a3 : a2 7 - g1: a3 a1 *", please provide the output for a1, a2, a3, and g1.
Marketing Director
I had over 5 in-person interviews and then 4 more over Zoom. Some were just casual chats, but most had a set list of questions they went through. Even after getting an offer, they told me my salary expectations were too high, which was weird because the recruiter said it was fine in the first and second calls.
- Can you tell me about your greatest professional strength?
