& Process

A recruiter reached out and was really involved, checking in and giving feedback. I had an initial phone screen, then a Zoom interview with the hiring manager. After that, I went to the office for an in-person sales pitch to what I thought was a team of sales leaders. I prepared a deck and printed copies, expecting to use presenter notes. When I got there, I waited a bit before presenting only to the hiring manager, the same one from the Zoom call. She questioned my use of notes, even though I thought it was okay. I also spoke with a Senior AE afterwards. The recruiter later told me the hiring manager didn't like that I used notes and that I said "um" too much. It wasn't a good fit because the pay was too low, and I felt my time wasn't valued since the pitch could have been done on Zoom, and I wasted money printing copies.

Had two initial interviews with a director of marketing and an art director that went super well. Recruiter let me know I got great feedback, but the hiring team wanted to do their due diligence and talk to other candidates. I waited four weeks for the final step, which was a two-part design assignment that took about 8 hours. Waited another two weeks and finally got told I didn't get the job, no explanation given. Noticed the job was reposted on multiple job boards a few days later. Seems like I was turned down for nobody after a two-month-long interview process. Honestly, I have never been so disrespected in my entire 14-year career as a designer.

Initial phone call with HR then a phone call with the hiring manager. After that, there was a 5-hour on-site interview which included a system design interview, algorithmic questions, product questions, leadership questions, and technical questions with the hiring manager. My overall experience was not very positive because a company brings you for a 5-6 hours long interview to meet with 7-8 people, they should at least give you simple feedback, whether you are hired or not. Their HR was very responsive until you come in and then they just disappeared!

One of the smoothest and most professional experiences. Jason (the recruiter) is honestly one of the best that I've had the privilege to work with and he understands the business very well while also stayed in touch with me throughout the entire process. I had just the right balance of time asked of me to spend with the team. Onsite and the experience was pretty top marks for Antony. Overall the team that I met with and the leaders were great. I didn't get a sense of what kind of leader the CRO was from my interviews though, most somewhat avoided discussing.
