First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Internet Brands.
Web Developer
Applied through Uni Career Fair, recruiter called to schedule a chat, asked basic requirement/my status questions. Then did a 45-min online HackerRank test (mix of code/MCQ). Passed that, had a 1-hour technical phone interview with 2 engineers. After doing well, got called for onsite. Onsite had a quick coding challenge first, then a round with an engineer for technical questions, and another round with a senior person for technical and behavioral questions. Basically, call-coding challenge-telephonic interview(technical)-onsite interview(usually 2-3 rounds).
- Can you solve the Two Sum problem?
- How would you reverse a LinkedList?
- Could you implement a Binary Search Tree?
Web Developer
Had a simple coding test online first, then we had two rounds onsite. One was technical where the direct supervisor interviewed me, and the other was behavioral with the manager of the department. The technical round covered coding, basic programming concepts, and checking my experience based on my resume.
- Can you tell me about your basic knowledge in a programming language you know well?
- What differentiates an abstract class from an interface in Java?
- Tell me about the coding test.
Web Developer Intern
First, I had to take an online test. I finished it and then waited two weeks with no response, so I followed up with an email. They replied that they hadn't received my test results and wanted me to retake it. I did, and the next day they said I passed. After that, I didn't hear anything, even after emailing them a few more times.
- A straightforward question about arrays was asked.
