First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Internet Brands.
Senior Software Engineer
I had a single interview round with a Java engineer. They asked me an algorithm question, which I initially solved. They then asked me to optimize it, and I was able to do so to some extent, but not exactly to the specific solution they had in mind. I thought it was a bit inappropriate to ask questions outside of the core skills for a Java Developer role, especially since it wasn't directly relevant to the job description. Not every company is Google, and I could ask them algorithm questions they might not be able to solve. This approach wasn't ideal.

First up was an HR screening covering background, communication, career goals, and cultural fit. Then, Round 2 got technical, digging into Core PHP, OOP, JavaScript/ES6, MySQL, cloud, WordPress plugins, CLI, multisite, and theme customization. The final round, a programming test, was a hands-on coding challenge focused on problem-solving, optimization, and implementing tasks in PHP, JavaScript, and WordPress customization.

Software Engineer
I had a couple of calls with the recruiter first, and then a technical interview was scheduled. The whole thing took about 2 months, but I never heard back about the technical interview results.
