Programmer
I had a 30 minute tech interview and got turned down because I got one question wrong.
- How can one retrieve current SQL statistics in MS SQL Server?
Software Developer
They responded quickly and set up a phone screen. The phone screen wasn't typical; we mostly discussed what they were looking for. No technical questions came up, and I had to guide the conversation as the interviewer wasn't very knowledgeable about technical details and didn't know what to ask. She didn't even know their version of Visual Studio. It was a strange experience, but they still invited me for a face-to-face interview in Trevose, PA. This company seems to assess IT development skills based on certain factors. The in-person interviews involved conversations about unrelated topics, not technical questions. First, I met with an Architect, who seemed unusual and unprepared, having only been on the job for a few weeks and having no interview plan. The second person was the same interviewer from the phone screen. After speaking with her, you'd wonder how she got her job, as she didn't seem qualified for a managerial role, despite being a Director. It was another conversation about nothing significant. After leaving, I hoped not to return, and thankfully, they passed on me, so I don't have to deal with those people anymore. Hope this helps.
- How do you handle challenges?
Lead Developer
I applied online and within days, I got a call from HR rep (Rasha Kamel). She set up an interview with the hiring manager for a couple of days later. I got an offer the very next day.
- Tell me about your experience handling incidents.
