Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at International SOS.
Intern
The process was really smooth, the interviewers asked questions to understand my profile and aspirations. I received also clear oversight of potential reporting line and development opportunities during the internship period.
- Tell me about a time you faced a challenge and how you dealt with it.
International Operations Coordinator
So I found this gig on LinkedIn and checked out the company on Wikipedia and Glassdoor, and thought 'yeah, this could be cool'. About 2-3 days later, HR called to set up a phone interview, followed by an in-person one. I was really impressed by the whole setup, from the initial call to the questionnaire and the final assessment. Honestly, I learned a ton just from the interview process itself, which made me even more excited to join. Once I cleared all the stages, I got the offer letter maybe 2-3 weeks later, and I signed it right away to get started.
- Can you share an example of a challenging international operation you've managed?
- Walk me through a time you had to adjust to unforeseen difficulties in an international context.
- What would be your approach to resolving a logistical problem that occurred abroad?
International Operations Coordinator
I sent an application; did a quick phone interview; was called to do a 1:1 interview; was tested in my language knowledge, geography, typing speed, cultural competences; did an interview which focused on my personality, why I was a good fit to the position and how to solve problems in general; was hired. The whole thing took 1.5 weeks.
- Could you share your experience with different cultures and how you approach communication in those situations?
