Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at International SOS.
Financial Analyst
The interviewer, a Treasury Manager, was 30 minutes late. They frequently interrupted and asked questions before I finished speaking. They also looked at and typed on their phone twice during the interview. The interviewer seemed unfriendly and unprofessional, forcing smiles and showing no initial interest. They made discriminatory remarks about nationalities and operations in SOS, calling them difficult to work with. The interview ended after 15 minutes because they had another meeting.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Is your nationality xxx?
- What motivated your application for this role?
Financial Analyst
The interview process had 2 rounds. The first round was in their London office with the line manager, who was nice and asked reasonable questions (not overly personal like 'biggest life achievement'). The HR rep was also okay. The second round was with someone from the US office. He put the call on speaker, and the line quality was terrible. I asked him to use a headset, but he didn't, which felt rude. There was a noisy, grating sound after every question, which made it hard to think. The questions themselves were standard, with a few odd ones. This whole experience made me not want to work there, plus their office is in the middle of nowhere in London. They took almost two months to reject me.
- What constitutes a financial control?
Financial Analyst
First, an HR Recruiter will reach out to set up an interview. Then, there's a Skype interview with the recruiter, where you won't be able to see them. After that, you'll interview with the Manager, followed by an interview with the CFO. Finally, you'll get the offer!
- What's something you're not so good at in your career?
