First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at International Committee of the Red Cross.
Executive Assistant
So the interview process was like this: first, there was a written part where they checked my MS Office skills. I had to draft an official letter in Word, make a PowerPoint presentation, and create an Excel sheet with a budget and a graph. They also tested my French. The second round was oral, and they focused on my interpersonal skills and what I expect from the role.
- As information management is key for this role, could you detail your approach to ensuring data accuracy, maintaining proper filing systems, and upholding confidentiality in your tasks?
Administrative Assistant
After you apply, they'll first screen your application. Then there's a competency-based interview, followed by some technical assessments. Sometimes they'll do a panel interview too. They're really looking at whether you fit with their humanitarian values and have the right experience and align with ICRC principles. Lastly, they do background checks and check your references.
- Tell me why you're interested in working here.
Administrative Assistant
we started with an evaluation then I was shortlisted to attend an interview. the interview was with a panel of 3 ladies that were very nice, I didn't get the offer even though that I felt very confident about it. the only reservation that I have about the whole experience is that when I tried to have a feedback about what were my disadvantages and how I can improve them they rejected my request and didn't reveal any information.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Tell me about your most relevant experience for this role.
- What's your experience with information management and what does it entail?
