First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Intermountain Health.

Started with managers, then met with as many team members as possible. They gave us the questions beforehand to help us think and prepare. I think this is smart because it helps with anxiety and lets the interviewee be more relaxed and be themselves.
- How do you handle anger over an unfair workplace decision?
Business Analyst
The interview process can differ based on the department you're applying to within Intermountain Healthcare. Some interviews are pretty laid-back, while others are very detailed. Some teams focus on whether you'll mesh well with them, while others will scrutinize your resume and ask about all your formal training. Some teams might give you a hypothetical situation and ask how you'd handle it. I often felt like the hiring manager already had someone picked, and the interview was just a formality for HR and to avoid potential issues. If you get an in-person interview, pay attention to how the panel interacts with you. If some panel members seem disengaged, it might mean they're just going through the motions.
- Can you share an instance where you...?
- How would you handle a specific work scenario?
- What formal training do you have that qualifies you for this position?
Business Analyst
Got an email from the recruiter to set up a phone interview. Interviewed with the manager over the phone for about half an hour. After that, I had an in-person interview with that manager and some other managers. Then, I waited about a month to hear back about an offer, which also included a background check and drug test.
- What do you seek in an ideal employer?
