Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Intergen.
Graduate Consultant
I submitted a video cover letter and completed an online application. Then there was an assessment evening, followed by a behavioral and technical interview. The technical interview included a 10-minute presentation that I had to prepare beforehand. No offer was extended. Everyone was really friendly and I always felt very welcome.
- Could you define what a business process is?
Consulting Analyst
The interview process with X4 Consulting, a company closely affiliated with Intergen, began with a somewhat disorganized communication. I was initially notified by email about the interview and told to expect a call, but further details arrived via email, requiring a reply. The interview consisted of two 30-minute sessions with Senior Consultants. The first was a behavioral interview that felt positive and professional. However, the second interview was quite negative; the interviewer seemed rushed and kept checking the time, making the conversation feel unstructured and unprofessional. About a week and a half after the interviews, I received a generic email stating that I was not successful.
- Do you have experience with UML?
Graduate Consultant
Applied online, then had a one-way video interview, which is like a phone interview but you record yourself answering questions with limited time and takes. It was good because I could prepare. After that, I was invited for an interview with 4 senior people (2 technical, 2 behavioural). They were really nice and welcoming. Then I got a tour of their office with a grad developer from last year. They called me a few days later with an offer.
- Can you describe an instance where you provided customer service?
- What is a recent technology that has captured your interest?
