I applied online and got an email about interviewing at InterDigital. They scheduled me for an hour-long phone call with a senior engineer. I felt the interview went alright, maybe not amazing. It covered behavioral/resume questions and then a live coding problem, which was an LC easy. I figured out the solution right away but was a bit careless with my code since it was my first interview. They said I'd hear back within two weeks about whether I got the job, but I ended up getting ghosted.

The interview process included a phone screen and an on-site interview with several engineers from the IoT Innovation team. These engineers are experienced professionals, many with long tenure at the company. InterDigital is recognized as a NPE, primarily generating revenue through patent licensing and enforcement. However, the engineering team focuses on developing practical and functional technology. The interviews covered security concepts, past work experience, and academic or production experience. They also discussed the team's objectives, job responsibilities, and the publication process. It wasn't explicitly stated that the company's main product is licenses and patents.
