It was a standard interview process. I interviewed with a few different people, one-on-one. My interviewers included my potential direct manager, the Assistant Controller, the Controller, and someone from another department I'd be working with. This happened over several rounds.

There was an initial screening round with HR, and then there was 1 round with 2 senior researchers. It mostly consisted of resume-related questions. A presentation of the resume and relevant experience could have been helpful. They followed up in a week saying they selected another candidate but gave a good review for another role.

Confirmed questions1 question

So, it was a pretty nice interview experience. They had 4 rounds in total. First round, the hiring manager talked about the project they're on and then asked me a lot of questions about my past projects. Round 2 was with two senior engineers, and it was very similar to the first round, with more questions about my projects. Round 3 involved 3 software engineers asking me questions related to software development, like what's the toughest challenge I've had in software development and how I'd test software. Finally, in Round 4, the Director of the department asked me about my background and a bunch of behavioral questions.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Can you tell me about the biggest challenge you've encountered in your software development career?
  • What's your approach to testing your software?
