Client Support Specialist
After applying through the recruiter, the first round was an interview with the hiring manager and their one-up. It was pretty chill, and they asked about my motivation to be part of Client Support and my salary expectations. The second round was with managers from two other teams that I would frequently work with if I were to join. There weren't many competency-based questions.
- What would people you work with say about you?
- Tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult stakeholder.
Client Support Specialist
The interview process was pretty standard, starting with a recruiter call, followed by a meeting with the manager and then individual meetings with the manager and two directors. The offer stage was last. It's a role that's increasingly becoming like a call center, involving client calls, emails, and chat. The job description isn't very current. Be prepared for weekend work, staying late, and uneven workload distribution, where seniors and leads often take less and claim to be overloaded. Don't expect the work to be shared equally. The role was initially presented as more of a market data analyst position, but it turned out to be more about server maintenance. Make sure to ask very detailed questions about the actual responsibilities of the role and request to speak with a direct co-worker at your level, not a senior or lead.
- Can you tell me what you know about ICE?
Specialist
HR reached out to set up an online interview since the managers are overseas. The first round went super well, the Head and Lead were really nice. They even asked about my hobbies, availability, and salary expectations. It lasted about 70 minutes. Within 3 business days, HR emailed again for round 2, another online chat with the Head and Lead, but this one was more technical and a deeper dive into the job. Overall, it was a positive experience, and this round took 60 minutes. The next day, HR set up round 3 with the Senior Director, online again. Because of the time difference, it was at 7 PM for them. The interview was calm and low-pressure. I really admired the Director's energy, staying on until 8 PM. The day after that, HR called to let me know I got the offer!
- Can you tell me what you know about our company?
- Could you introduce yourself?
- What exactly are equities and bonds?
