Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Intercontinental Exchange.
Relationship Manager
The interview process was pretty straightforward and not complicated at all. I first spoke with my direct manager, followed by two of my potential colleagues. After that, I had a chat with another manager from a different department, and finally, I met with HR. They didn't ask any tricky questions; they were mainly interested in understanding my previous responsibilities and assessing my suitability for this role.
- Can you explain how you approach your work?
Risk Manager
Ghosted after the interview process, and this wasn't the first time - interviewed for two roles in one year and still haven't heard back from the first. It's unclear what HR is doing, especially since job postings are constantly visible.
- What motivates your desire to join ICE?
Manager
A recruiter reached out and told me about the process. First, there was a written test with over 80 questions, including coding. I didn't get enough time to finish it. After that, I had two phone interviews, which were technical. Finally, I had an onsite interview in Atlanta with ten people.
- Could you explain what a deterministic function is?
- Tell me about your experience with Oracle database monitoring.
- How do you approach SQL tuning?
