Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at INTEGRIS Health.
Registered Nurse
I had a phone call interview that was very straightforward and polite. They asked very few questions, but I was told I'd have to wait two weeks for the official job listing to be posted before I could move forward.
- What was your previous employer?
Registered Nurse
I'm a nurse with over 10 years of experience and I applied for an ER position at Integris Health. They scheduled a phone interview with a recruiter named Kasey. Initially, Kasey was friendly, but things changed when I stated my salary expectations. I overshot to allow for negotiation, and she actually laughed. I mentioned that the salary range was posted, and she confirmed that's what people in the area earn, but then she said their pay is based on location and what surrounding areas pay, which felt contradictory. I had applied for a day position, but she informed me that I'd have to work nights because I'm new to the ER. I explained that nights wouldn't work with my family life, which is why I applied for a day shift. Her demeanor then became abrupt and rude, as if she didn't want to hire anyone. She asked if I wanted to withdraw my application. Her final words on the call were, 'If you change your mind, you are more than welcome to apply for the position again in the future.' While this might seem like a standard closing, the tone implied I wouldn't get past the application stage. Typically, recruiters offer further contact, like 'If you change your mind, please let me know, here's my number/email, we'd be happy to have you.'
- What annual salary are you requesting?
Registered Nurse
It was pretty simple, no curveballs. Had a phone call, then came in for an in-person. Business casual dress code. They showed me around the floor and I met some of the team. Had to show proof of my vaccines and then went through a two-week orientation.
