Had a quick chat with the leadership. They emphasized that they only hire scientists, even for roles not directly in science. It makes sense, but they're not interested unless you're already in grad research.

I applied online and heard back after a few weeks. The first step was a phone screen. Then I had a panel interview with people from the team and another manager. After that, they did a reference check and called everyone I gave them. Finally, I got an offer. It took about six weeks from applying to getting the offer. They asked standard interview questions both times. The company really cares about "fit" and "culture." It’s important to show your technical skills, but also that you can work on your own with little supervision. They seem to train people, so you don't need to know everything from the start.

Behavioral Other

Started with a chill recruiter phone screen, felt good and knew what was up. Then, had to do a work sample, took like a whole day, kinda long but super relevant and helped me see if I fit. After that, had a bunch of Zoom chats with different people from the company, all levels. It was professional, chill, and I got a good vibe for the job and company culture. Last thing was a reference check, they called 3 people, took longer than usual and asked a lot of detailed questions, which was pretty cool to see how thorough they are with matching skills and personality.

Behavioral Technical

Applied and had a 30-minute phone screen with HR, followed by a 2-hour video interview with multiple leaders. After that, HR asked for references, which I provided. I sent a thank you note after the interview and was expecting to get the job, but never heard back. I'm upset because they ghosted me after asking for references, which usually means you're moving forward. They should have at least let me know they weren't proceeding.
