I had a 60-minute call with a recruiter, which felt like a complete waste of time. They were just going through a checklist and asking questions about things they couldn't really evaluate. They also mentioned a weird compensation philosophy where they don't compare themselves to industry standards but to some internal benchmark, which seems to lead to lowballing offers. They said they were looking for more experienced candidates than what was posted but also suggested they might have to downlevel me if they moved forward. The recruiter didn't seem to know much about the role or the company and was being really difficult about letting me talk to someone more qualified, which is a bad move for them.

Behavioral Technical

Regardless of the outcome, I had a very positive experience interviewing with Intapp. The first round was a discussion with the recruiter for the position. She had a very good understanding of the company, its history, and the market. She also understood the PM role very well. She was very professional throughout the process and provided updates and feedback on what was going on and next steps on a continual basis. The second round was with the hiring manager and the third round was with another PM on the team. Everyone was welcoming, approachable, and engaged in very reasonable and focused conversations. In the end, I was not selected but the treatment that I got even after the rejection was good. The recruiter spent some time to go over feedback and the rationale for the company's decision in a very supportive and respectful way.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

This was hands down the best interview process I've experienced. From the initial contact to receiving an offer, it only took 2 weeks. I met with the hiring Manager, several peer PMs, my skip-level Manager, the Engineering Manager, and the GM. The recruiter was super communicative and kept me in the loop at every stage. As soon as one interview was done, they quickly put together summaries and set up the next one. It really showed how agile and effective their recruitment team is!

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • There were several questions about product features.
  • I was asked about how to prioritize different product initiatives.
  • Questions were posed about challenges and opportunities for a company that is growing.
