So I had two interviews for two similar roles, HR was kinda unresponsible, but the interview structure was similar for both. It started with an exam, then a 3-hour interview with 3 rounds all on the same day. I think you get the job if you pass. The first round was with two senior managers, they were nice and we talked a lot about the company and products, it felt like a casual chat. The second round was with three people, one of them was sleepy and yawning but still nice, the other two were also nice. The last round was a nightmare with two people who acted like bosses, asking a lot of detailed questions about a job I had 3 years ago, repeating 'why why why' and not listening when I tried to explain. They didn't understand the software I used, and when I tried to explain they didn't pay attention, just kept digging into the question, it was torture. I knew I didn't get the job after that. It showed me how personality matters for career progression.

An actuary I know there passed my resume along, and I got a call right away about jobs that fit. I had my first interview in 3 days. It was with HR for about 45 minutes, and I did two writing samples on insurance topics first. The next Monday they called wanting a second interview. The day after, I met with two groups, each for about 45 minutes. The first group was senior managers from the three departments with openings. The second group had two junior managers. Now, 3 weeks later, they told me they're looking elsewhere.

I had an initial chat with HR where they asked general questions and then I had to write two essays on insurance topics. They just gave me paper and a pencil and told me to write. It was tiring to write so much by hand. After that, I was invited back for the actuarial interviews and met two separate groups of people, about 3 in each group. The interviews themselves were pretty standard, just the usual questions you'd expect.
