The pre-interview stage was straightforward and prompt to arrange. We talked about my previous job history and how it would apply to a customer service job. We also talked about the typical pay for entry-level positions.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview was held in a building that seemed to be under construction and was likely rented for the day. There were other people waiting to interview. The whole process took about 30 minutes. The interviewer described the job vaguely, mentioning it was a door-to-door sales position, not an office job. They talked about promotions every 3-6 months and the potential to earn $100k within 6-9 months. I tried to find company information online before and after, but I'm still unclear about what they do or how they make money. It all feels shady, and I wouldn't recommend applying.

Behavioral Presentation Other

The job description was really misleading. It said it needed graphic design and marketing experience, but it's actually a direct sales job, going door-to-door for companies like AT&T. The Zoom interview was also misleading; they didn't mention sales for the first 15 minutes until I asked. It was vague, and the interviewer used obvious telemarketing scripts. It felt very scripted and not like a real conversation, probably to get through as many people as possible. They mentioned management and great finances, but said it wasn't there yet, implying it's commission-based. It's definitely a sales role, not marketing. If you want to do door-to-door sales, this is it. Worst interview ever.

I applied online. The whole process took only 2 days. I had my interview at Instep Management Group in Anaheim, CA back in February 2019. The interview went super well, and the staff there were amazing and really nice! There wasn't a long wait for my interview, and everyone working there seemed to genuinely enjoy what they do. Their outfits were very professional, and the office space itself was very nice too.
