Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Insomnia Cookies.
Shift Leader
The interview was friendly and welcoming, with a focus on the candidate and core values. It felt more like a conversation about past experiences and personality. The staff seemed very willing to work, and the environment wasn't high pressure.
- Tell me about your future aspirations and how you plan to pursue them, aiming high in both your personal and professional life.
Shift Leader
The interview was pretty chill, not super formal. They asked some normal interview stuff but mostly focused on my availability and how things would work logistically. I'm not sure if this is how it usually goes, but that was my experience. It happened in person, at the store, during a slower part of the shift.
- Could you let me know what days you're available to work?
Shift Leader
The interview process was pretty good. I got asked simple questions about when I'm available, how confident I am about running a shift, and we talked about my past work experience. The whole thing was super short, like ten minutes. They asked a few questions that were really easy to answer. After it was done, they said I got the job if I wanted it.
- How comfortable do you feel with your management skills?
