it was a very slow process with no feedback after the interviews. The interviews weren't clear if they were discussions or technical assessments. Other people on reddit said their engineers don't stay more than 3 years, so that's something to be wary of.

The interview process was pretty lengthy - technical screening, a seminar about my experience, and several algorithms/system design questions, totaling about 7 hours split between 2 days. I quickly received a positive response, but then waited ABOUT A MONTH for the offer because the HR person handling my application went on holidays. After all this, they decided I didn't have enough experience for the role and switched my candidature to a lesser seniority position without informing me until the offer stage. The compensation was about half of what I expected. They asked about my salary expectations multiple times at the end of the process. The whole thing took about 2.5 months and involved contacting my references after they knew they would make a low-ball offer. I don't recommend interviewing with Insitro.
