Analyst
The interview process is definitely long and challenging, but it feels worthwhile to ensure a great fit for both you and the company. Everyone is super friendly and humble, and also incredibly smart, so be ready. My experience went like this: a 30-minute initial phone call, then a PowerPoint/critical thinking assessment, followed by a longer 1-hour phone interview. After that, they flew me in for an in-person interview where I spoke with 7 different people, from analysts up to the CEO, in one-hour blocks. The office project coordinator was my main contact and super helpful, though I wish I'd been more mindful of her time. Good luck!

I got contacted about a week after applying and had my first interview. It was a 60-minute phone call with a consultant, mostly focused on fit and my background. A few days later, I got a call for a second interview, also 60 minutes on the phone, this time with a director. This one had a mix of fit, background, and some informal case questions. The last interview was in person at the ISA office and lasted about 6 hours. I met with people from analyst all the way up to partner. The questions there were also a mix of fit and case style, with about 3 short cases. The whole thing took about three weeks.

I went through 2 phone interviews and a slide deck assignment. The first call was a fit interview, and the second one was a fit plus case interview. I had 48 hours to complete the slide deck assignment, which involved creating a backgrounder on a French biotech company. My advice for anyone reaching the slide deck stage is to check out the company's website and also look for shareholder reports for more info, even if they're in a language you don't know. Google Translate was a lifesaver for the French report I got, giving me way more details than the company's website alone.

- Given the demands of this job, including long hours, stress, and travel, how would you manage?
